Somebody talk me out of this Guitar GAS. Please!
This has seriously NEVER happened to me.
I walked into my local music shop to pick up my book order for some of my guitar students and I walked right past this gorgeous, lightly reliced Nash T-57. Most of the Nash guitars I have seen look crappy and poorly reliced. They are way over the top. I don't want a guitar that looks like I tied it to my bumper and dragged it to the gig, twice!
But this thing looked right and it stopped me dead in my tracks when I saw it. I picked it up and played it for about 15 minutes just acoustically. It felt and sounded better than any Tele I have EVER played. I plugged it into a Fender Deluxe, and it was incredible. I seriously almost bought it right then and there, but I didn't. I have heard of other guitar players who had an experience like this, but it has never happened to me. I could not even sleep last night. I think I should get it.
I was looking hard at a Danocaster, but they are $2300 new and have a 6 month wait. I could pick this up for about a grand less. Tempting.
My hesitation comes from some of the mixed reviews of Nash guitars.
Help a brother out and tell about your experience with Nash gutars.

Buy it. My kids grew up with Nash's kids. I know the whole family. Bill's a good guy, makes great guitars. I follow his kid on Instagram and he's constantly giving me G.A.S. for a tele with his posts. Seriously, like everyday i have to resist the urge to text him "hold that guitar for me. I'm coming to pick it up right now." and then i remember that i'll have to buy my wife a room full of roses if i do buy one.
Anyway, just do it. What's the guitar body color/ fretboard wood?

I own two Nashes--a T52 and an S63, both with "light" wear (a relative thing). They're both terrific--very light (7.2 lbs each), very resonant, great worn-in feel--not a fan of a sticky neck--love the Lollar pickups, excellent fret-work on both, setups are pretty much perfect out of the box--plus, if they fall off the stand, who cares? Great for bar gigs and general knocking around; somehow always the guitar I grab off the stand and plug in. I play an M12, too, and though it's not my all-time favorite amp with a Tele (that would be the EZG, with just about any single-coil guitar), give me a good OD pedal and a smidge of delay and the Tele/M12 combo totally rips. Basically, don't be put off by the purists and the haters. Bill Nash makes fine guitars, and once in awhile even a great one.

I'm glad you bought it - if it did 'that' to you, it doesn't matter what brand it is or what reviews say about it.

Late to the party since the deal has gone down, but I too have nothing but good things to say about my Nash T-52.

Sweet new axe! Can't wait for the gig reprot with the Remedy. Also, this thread has the best title I've ever seen! Thanks guys! I started the thread hoping someone would talk me out of it. But when Strat59, Sam and then Poodle all said "Buy It" at the same time, well, who am I to resist that wisdom? Now, I officially have to unload some unused guitars. I will be selling my Hamer Monaco III that I custom ordered with gold hardware, my Hamer Studio Custom Gold Top with P90's, my G&L Asat Z3 and my 1983 Fender Tele. I might even sell my Hamer Studio Custom. After a long marriage with Gibson style guitars, I realize I am, and have always been and shall evermore be, a Tele guy.

Oh man those sound like some tempting guitars!!!!
I've found that I'm a tele and a Gibson guy - I love my SG the same as my tele. Just can't get into a strat the way I'm into tele's and Gibsons.
