For a mere $3,300 .... Guess I will have to stick with SE's or Epiphone....

Y'know, over the years I've gravitated toward having fewer but nicer things instead of more and more 'cheaper' things - I think you know where this is headed

The museum pieces are nice, no doubt - but I've seen great players using the SE models and just changing out the pickups or other electronics.
But on the other side of the coin, when I bought my first Z (Maz 38 combo), the dealer I bought it from said he could deal all day long on the McCarty I wanted - but not the Z. "Z's are a fixed price" and he didn't want to lose his dealership. He sold me both and I saved a lot of money on my PRS from what the tag said.
Nothing wrong with buying used, either! Just wait 6 months.

Hmmmmm, that's not a bad price for a guitar one intends to buy and keep for a long time. However, if one is intending to flip in after a few months then it's a deal to lose money on for sure !

I love my McCarty! I got an unsold 2011 model in 2015 at a great price.

Watch for clearance sales and the used market. I've bought four PRS guitars in my lifetime and none of them were >$2.500. In fact, only one was >$1.500.
