Very excited that I have recently ordered a Dumkudo pedal and it's on it's way to me! I saw Mike Hermans review on youtube that won me over. Does anyone else here have this pedal?

I've been looking into this pedal for a couple of months now. I'll be ordering one soon. It sounds good and is just so darn pretty.

I've been thinking about it... for availability reasons I went with the Rockett Dude for D-Style overdrive but that's the thing with pedals... it's never quite over, is it.

I've been checking those out too. Let us know how it works for you Jasper. I'd be interested in the lead time on that pedal too. Thanks

The Dude was one of my favorites on the That Pedal Show (or whatever it's called) review of D***** pedals. I thought it was ideal for "I really need that sound for a few tunes" situations. How are you liking it?

Doctorice yes it's called that pedal show. What I like about the Dumkudo is it has 3 modes that will allow me to get a Dumble tone (Green) Plexi tone (Red) and a mild OD tone (Blue) too. The Dude sounds great too!

This is the episode in question, and it is also the reason I went for it. I don't really like Tube Screamer style OD into my MAZ and the Klone has me all set for transparent OD (although, like everyone else, I *am* on the waiting list for a KoT). I rarely need full-on dirt but if I do, this is the flavour I like.

Well this thread got me stirred up and I just ordered a Dumkudo Twin Custom from Tanabe-san. The GAS never ends.

Do you use it on clean sound only, or does it work adding it to an amp that is all ready breaking up? Thanks ~ Roger

As gorgeous as this pedal sounds, it's out of my league for price...this weak arse Canadian dollar really keeps me from spending...which isn't a bad thing mind you.

The 2-3 week wait for mine is going to be tough. I'd like to hear what you think when you get yours. I'd also like to know what "Jali" is. Tanabe-san told me they will run on 18 volts also. I don't think any of the videos I saw were running them that way.

Zpilot I didn't know that about the 18v but they may only be for the twin pedals? Jali is Upper Mid Tone control. He did mine in a day due to having all the parts. That was last Sunday and my pedal has already arrived in Australia, so I should have it by Monday.

There is a knob called tone on the pedal?
Maybe they are messing with us.

Zpilot when I have the gain right down it sounds so smooth and when the gain goes up it's loud and audible and my Maz38 responds beautifully to it.

Here's a crappy iPhone video of me, the MAZ 8 and the Rockett DUDE to give you an impression... I really like it a lot for when I need dirt.

Hey dergit that's great. I can well imagine how it sounds away from the compression of the iPhone. Cheers

My Dumkudo arrived yesterday. It shipped from Japan to my door in less than a week. That's less than some things I've ordered in-country. I usually don't like reviewing something while still in the "honeymoon" period but I can't resist. I've never played through a Dumble but this thing absolutely captures what I imagine it would be like. When the gain is cranked it has a fuzzy quality to the sound but the notes are still articulate. I'm glad I got the Twin Custom version which has two two pedals in one case because using the mode switch I can set the other side to cover my Plexi-type sounds. It has booted my Animal off the pedalboard. I would be perfectly happy with only this and a delay pedal on my board.

Zpilot I've been playing it with a EP booster with the carbon copy through the loop and with the gain right down in green mode on the Dumkudo going through the front over the past few days. I'm just loving this pedal!
