What amp do you have. Does it have Reverb? How long have you owned the amp. When did you last replace the pre-amp tubes?
Once you share that info others can chime in

Brand new MAZ 38 nr 1x12 from Humbucker Music Celestion Gold Tubes look great Can't seem to locate a problem
Guitar > Cable (Mogami) > Amp
I've tried multiple guitars and multiple cables still hums and pops

Try tightening the chassis bolts ( 4 large screws that attach the chassis to the cabinet ) They may have loosened a little in transit and are part of the grounding.

Shae Vivant,
I would recommend you send an e-mail to the Dr. Z shop and let Humbucker know you have an issue. My first thought would be that one of the tubes didn't travel well. You wouldn't be able to recognize anything unusual on the tubes at this point.
That is a buzz kill. The odds are you have a faulty tube. Don't panic.

Thanks for the help everyone
I've switched between the only 3 guitars I have Fender American Strat and Tele then my PRS SC with humbuckers I bought the copper shielding from Stewmac and put that everywhere I could in the strat and tele I did find the strat had less of the hiss oddly enough ... but I'm thinking that might be due to the single coils just being quieter
I tightend the chassis bolts (pretty tight already) and not a noticeable difference
I believe I'll have to send out the emails :/

The good news is that Doc and Humbucker are great with customer service. Call humbucker and they will take care of you.

I recently sold a Maz 38 on Reverb. Buyer emailed me frantic about squeeling and popping and how could I send him a busted amp, etc. It was a bad preamp tube. As PurpleTele stated, they don't travel well.
I'll also admit, having purchased many an amp online, I was very underwhelmed with how Humbucker packed my Maz 18. Not bashing Humbucker at all, as my buying experience was excellent and I will definitely purchase from them again, but my Monza from Parkway Music was packed to withstand nuclear war.
