Is this a microphonic tube or just too much treble in the mix? Just noticed it after about two hours of playing without a band

If your mids were up high it might just be that. Seems to me that as the mids go up so does the amps ringy, chimey, feedbacky nature increases.

I'm running mids at around 10-11 o'clock.

I'm running mids at around 10-11 o'clock. Hmmm not very high. Sometimes you can use a pencil or chop stick to gently tap on the tubes to hear if they are micro phonic.

Make sure it's not the guitar. Maybe a string hitting a fret or pickup.

I think Marc might have it right, my E and B strings are possibly hitting a fret and since this amp is so hifi it could be detecting it. I really don't know what tubes sound like when they go micro but surely this isn't a symptom. If it is I would like to know

Microphonic tubes can sound a variety of ways, but here's a good example:

I believe I figured out my problem...and now I feel stupid for ever posting lol. It's the overtones from the high E and B strings. I never noticed it before and don't know why I did in the first place. I picked up my Martin CEO 7 and noticed the same thing as well as a with couple other guitars. Its very prevalent when playing a single note G at the third fret on the high E string.
I think Z amps are so sensitive (which is a very good thing for what I do) that my playing and my guitar have to stay in check. So, with that said, I'm pretty sure it's not a microphonic tube.
