Ditto. Good movie. The bear scene made me clinch.

I can only give it a B-. Leonardo proved his acting chops long ago. This was just a lot of dramatic heavy breathing. Visually stunning and well edited.... but utterly improbable.

Improbable yes. But it is based on a true story of a mountain man attacked by a bear.....way back when. He was left to die in the wilderness....the others in the group thought he was dead. He lives and gets to a fort eventually. Goes out looking for revenge for leaving him behind. He finds them sees how young they are and realizes they had to have been almost kids when they left him. So he forgives them and moves on with life. I heard the original story many years ago and then saw it on history channel. Now this movie is out. Kind of cool progression.

Well, if they'd stuck a little closer to the facts of the true story I'd have have enjoyed it more. Instead, they made a remarkable story into an improbable story and ruined it for me.
