Newbie here. First off, the Stangray is off the hook, thanks Doc!!. What tubes do I use when replacing the quad EL84S? All opinions are appreciated. I'm reading Tung-Sol & JJ? I read the JJ's are thick sounding. What are the 7189's? As you can tell, I'm ignorant here and this is my first change out with this amp that I bought new. A thicker sound is interesting to me. Please help guys! Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Just got some new JJ EL84's from eurotubes. They're a great dealer and do a good job at testing and burning in your tubes before they ship them out to ensure reliability. Also, you can specify whether you want your EL84's to break up sooner, moderately, or later and they'll make sure to get you a quad rated to your desired specifications. I'm not affiliated with jj's or eurotubes, just a happy costumer
