I recently bought a Scumback H75-PVC 65 watt (8 ohm). I've been mixing it with a Celenstion V-30 in a 2-12 cabinet. It sounds good, but I was thinking about trying a M75-PVC 65 watt speaker to mix with the H75. I've read on some other forums that this is a pretty popular mix.
Are any of you using this speaker combination? If so, can you give some feedback on it?
Thanks ~ Roger

I just put the M75 in 212 cabinet with the C Blue. I played the M75 by itself and it is very nice. I had the 35 Watt version.
Based upon the what I hear both by itself and paired, you won't be disappointed. The price for the speakers is favorable as well.
Jim the owner seems to be a good guy. I had read some negative articles, but my experience as been quite good.
That may not be the exact answer, but it is getting close.

Thanks Brian. I've heard some negative stuff about Jim also, but he was very good at communicating with me and the service was great. I'd like to hear the mix with the Celestion Blue. Do you run your cabinet open or closed back?

Thanks ~ Roger I'll be using close to that very soon—I plan to put the (standard, non-PVC) M75 65w + H55 65w into a Stone Age cab that's currently awaiting its final wrap of tolex and then grillcloth. Sorry I can't be of much more help right now Roger, but from everything I know about speakers this should be one killer speaker cabinet. I'm psyched to try it... maybe in another few weeks.

Do you run your cabinet open or closed back? Roger I've had nothing but good experiences directly with Jim. I guess I can see how he might ruffle some people's feathers, because he does peruse the web forums and he does speak up when lesser-informed individuals try to pass off non-facts as facts. Kinda reminds me of Mike K. from KCA Tubes in that manner (who I've also had great experiences with). In any case, personalities aside, the (newer, black-frame, California-made) Scumbacks are the most musical British-style speakers in my collection—with no exceptions.

Roger, I installed the C Blue and the M75 Scumback speakers into a Stagecraft Angled 2 x 12 with a closed back. I have never played through a closed back cabinet. This is my second night of playing through this cabinet. The combination is fantastic. I am not used to all of the bass coming at you, but the speaker cabinet has a super precise feel to it. I want to try each of the speakers in an individual cabinet, but it is soldered and zipped up. The 112 cabinet has a Cream Alnico. I am bringing the Maz 18 out tonight to try with the new pair of speakers. The amp is a GDS 1974x that I completed a couple of months ago. The logo's are a test run and I think they will stay.

That's a sweet set up Brian. I found that the H75 has lots of bass too (I'm sure more so than the M). I've dialed back the bass on my amp and it sounds good. I have a Avatar 2-12 convertable cabinet, so I thought I'd pull the back off to see what that sounds like.
