Been hearing the song 'Everyday' on wfuv a lot the last few weeks, finally got around to checking out some other stuff, and I find it impressive. The album 'Everybody's a good dog' is full of great songwriting, singing, production,it's wearing it's classic pop and soul influences on it's sleeve-Brian Wilson,Phil Spector, and the singer is gifted, with a range and control that I would give years of my life for. Here's the video and a radio performance of Everyday showing off the chops and vocs.

Hey cool band. I think you might be onto something.
Sounds like they came out of Muscle Shoals in 71.
Thanks for sharing

Nice old school vibe, yet nice and fresh. You're right the singer has nice range and control. Before watching the live video, I was thinking two different lead vocalists.

Yes,Walt, excellent top end vocals and pristine harmonies. I always wondered why God gave me a black bluesman's voice when He cudda stuck a Steven Tyler or Sir Paul model voice box in there! Then I could sing like these kids!

About half the album is more trippy and idiosynchratic, which is fine with me,I like weirdness in my pop music.one song (spring breathes)sounds like Brian Wilson recording with King Crimson in 1968.I don't want to spam the board too heavily, but there is a tinydesk set they did that really showcases the vocals.
