At one time I considered selling mine. But then I finally learned how to use it. So, glad I didn't let it go.

I've had two. I just didn't get it the first time. It's my go to with any amp or guitar. Did you get the high gain mod on the Red side? I have that. I run the yellow side at roughly 330 oclock on V and 11 oclock on D, and the red side at 230 and 4, respectively.
Man, I love that thing.

Ive had one for quite a while now. My first one was a high gain red side that I just recently sold and I bought a normal gain on both sides which I like much better. Pretty much sounds great with any amp. The key to it is keeping the volume up past 1 or 2 for it to really start shining.

The one I got is second hand and has the high gain on the yellow channel. The red channel sounds great but I'm not sure about the yellow side. Any suggestions with the interior switches, at the moment it is in the factory setting with just the #1 switch on for the red channel. Thanks Guys

Thanks Guys Pretty sure you can just switch the gain pot on the high gain side from 250k to 100k to make it the same as the normal gain side. A tech with some soldering skills could do it for pretty cheap, I'd imagine.

I didn't get it with the high gain mod. If I'm not mistaken, I got mine before that option existed. At least I was thinking that at first they didn't offer a high gain side. But maybe so, I can't remember. I run the Drive on the yellow side at 10:00-11:00 and the red side at 1:00-2:00. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Another pedal thats real close to the KOT is the Snouse Black Box. Excellent OD pedal and extremely cheap. I just had one built and use it more now than I do my King of Tone.

That Black Box sure sounds nice; I've had my eyes open for an original Blues Breaker pedal for a long time. Thanks for the GAS attack, Jeff!!!
