Are you in a reasonable volume band? Do you turn the guitar down for a clean tone? I usually keep the master higher than noon so I am curious about how you feel it holds up at the noon position...did you wish the master was higher?

I usually keep the master higher than noon so I am curious about how you feel it holds up at the noon position...did you wish the master was higher? When you say "reasonable" I assume that means reasonably loud? Yes! Thankfully at this venue anyway Yes, I balance the amount of grit with the GV, but as we play pretty full on rock (Foos, QOTSA, Zep, ACDC, Brit pop, Indie, that sort of stuff), I need a gainy tone. I often keep the RC on quite a lot to hit the front end hard adding to the gain without saturating the OD tones - this amp just sucks it up this way - but I don't need the MV any higher. When I need a dirty tone, even a bit fuzzy, I add in my beloved BB and stack it with the RC, but the Gain is set way low on the BB. Switching pups, mixing up GVs and GTs, I can get most any sound I could ever need out of that set up!

I almost never drop the MV below 2 o'clock.Richer, fuller tone.If the neighbors don't wanna hear it,I don't care. The wife is a saint who will never ever complain about the noise I make.
