I just got done cleaning the ole peaver classic 30 tube sockets and did pins to tube's as well...ho...thing's got some new attitude...thing's been sounding less than...well it's got a little more omph to it now...nicer clarity as well.
Been using a ep boost w/it just to get a little more something out of it.will continue that as it does fall a little shy of using it at jams...thumbs up for the socket cleaning...

Classic 30 was my first tube amp....I regularly miss it with endearment. Although I think the drive section wasn't my cup of tea BUT I love the clean side cranked up.

Classic 50 head was my first "good" amp - loved the cleans it had. DeOxit D5 is what I use to clean tube sockets as well as input/output jacks, cables, and pots.

That's all I use simpleton...the 2nd/channel is...well what it is...im using "mg electrosolve/contact cleaner no residue" sean.
I have been using that stuff for years...I like it because I don't have to clean any thing after done spraying.

I just put a Celestion gold in my Classic 20 replacing the stock speaker and much fun has been had using a boost as well. It only took me 20 years to do it....

That speaker will wake up any older amp. I recently put one in my 90's version Fender Blues Deluxe. Totally made an "ok" $500 amp into a "pretty darn sweet" $750 amp. It was still a bit too loud tho, so I replaced the Gold with a Creamback.... It's still def NOT a Z, but not too shabby for a cheap mass prod amp....

I will forever regret selling the Classic 30 I once had.
