Though I like the amp I play my Route almost always and use the KT as a backup. Then I thought, just get another Route for backup.
Looks to be factory original tubes with tube rectifier. Black Tolex and salt/pepper.
I paid $1200 on eBay but think that may have been $200-$300 more than market value.

Market prices seem to vary quite a bit on the KT's, but they seem to average around a grand. Don't feel too bad about the price you paid, though, as I said they're highly variable.

Right now I think that the market is around $900. There are a lot of good amps out there chasing the same $. Still good for buyers. The last KT45 I bought went for $800.

^ You guys wouldn't believe some of the great deals Mike has snagged recently--it would make your head explode. But it goes to show that if you're patient and hold your ground, you can save a bit of money on great gear!
