I just picked up one of these on the weekend, I didn't mean to but after I played it, it just spoke to me and I had to have it, I cant believe how good the solid Rosewood neck feels in my hands. It is a very resonant and very lively guitar. GC did a limited run the first of the year or spring time (with 2 color choices SB and Daphine Blue) and in Canada Long & McQuade did a limited run of about 175 (SB only) for their August Fender Days, I got the last one in my area right out of the box!! Sorry these are stock pic's I will need to upload some later!

My solid body McCarty has a solid Indian Rosewood neck - I love it. Congrats!

Whoa! Cool lookin! Looks great with the black sunburst. Is the back of the neck unfinished? I know that RW doesn't need to be finished, as almost all fretboards are not...

Yes the back of the neck is unfinished although they say it was sealed with some sort of oil.
It's funny as typically I don't like unfinished wood on the neck of my guitars but this one is very nice and it just feels right. I'm still trying to get use to the dark colored head stock and I'm not sure I like the etched logo or not (it's hard to see unless your really close to it, I think I would have preferred a maple inserted logo or something like that). Of course those are nit-picking complaints really, I think it is a great guitar.

That looks like a lifelong keeper. I've always had a liking for unique pieces like that.

Dang dog that's nice. I've been wanting a strat....Fender has some sweet runs this year. Yours is a beauty. Enjoy the smile ride.

Love the rosewood neck. My local L&M dealer had one on the way last month as well. If the guitar was anything but sunburst I think I would have been tempted to pull the trigger.

Love the rosewood neck. My local L&M dealer had one on the way last month as well. If the guitar was anything but sunburst I think I would have been tempted to pull the trigger. L&M only offered it in SB, I saw some from Guitar Center in Sonic Blue and Dakota Red. I would have loved to have had the choice. SB and DR would have been a very very hard choice though!!!!

I played one at our GC this summer. Very cool guitar! Loved it. The example I played had a couple buzzes-- probably high frets from moisture change or something.

Nice catch I hadn't seen these before, i do like looks of solid neck.
I agree about the engraved logo hard to see,
I might consider finding a good in-layer with something like ivory or bone or just tape it off and fill with liquid plastic at least plastic gives color options.
Good luck and enjoy..................
