Finally, after all these years of clean boosts coming and going, I decided to give the RC Booster a try...why have I waited so long? Man, what a sweet pedal! Perfect for lifting you for lead boosts or enhancing the sweet spot a little as an always on pedal. So this is all I need for the most part...Paisley Drive and RC!

It's an awesome pedal, Mark.... I'm thinking you've had a BB, but have you tried the AC as well?

It's an awesome pedal, Mark.... I'm thinking you've had a BB, but have you tried the AC as well? I still have my BB...had an AC as well...all great pedals for sure. The AC was nice. It's been a bit since I've had it though and I forget how it sounded.

It's amazing how cool such an un-coloring or non-character pedal can be. The RC makes those awesome tones in my relatively EQ-knob-less tweed Deluxe even more readily accessible.

I'm merely a basement hack, but I've had this or an AC on my radar for a while. It's almost like everyone needs to have these pedals in the kit based on how well they are received.

I've been thinking about one of these... I thought the BB preamp was way too colourful and sort of ran over my MAZ whereas the EP booster works pretty much perfectly. But maybe...?

Use the RC and AC, really help me shape the sound.

For me , I've always had the RC and I found I didn't need the EP Booster after I got it as I felt the RC did everything the EP did and more. So I sold the EP. I also really like the AC and wouldn't part with it , especially for thick Cream-era Clapton tone. I had the BB , which is a great pedal , but for me it was "too much". The thing with all of them is they are very adjustable with the active tone controls and great "sweep" of the gain control. My 2 cents YMMV.

I have an SP comp on my board as you can see in the pic...I may take it off to make room for my BB again...I can only have 5 on there, it's all I have power for and I don't like using batteries. I'd like to try the RC BB Paisley combination.

The SP, though... I don't even switch it off anymore... could hardwire it to the bottom of my pedalboard.

The only time my compressor isn't on is when I'm playing arch tops straight through.

Ya, Lo compression and blend and volume at around 50%. So sweet into a (mostly) clean MAZ.

Yeah I really like my RC as well. I use it for solo boosts. I also have the BB and the AC. The RC and BB have been with me for years now and are pedals that I don't even consider selling. They do what they are supposed to do very well for my tastes. The AC has been with me for maybe a couple of years now and I like it quite a bit as well. I have the AC set for very low overdrive and the BB set for higher gain. Stack the 2 and it sounds great. I really like the bass and treble knobs of the Xotic pedals to allow greater flexibility in dialing in desired tones.

My RC has replaced the EP at the end if my signal chain because I think it is a better clean boost for solos. I think the EP may find a place at the beginning of my chain. It would always be on and replace the buffer I use there now.

Ok, you guys win...
Even though I have Creation Audio Labs, Catalinbread Super Chili Picoso and Keeley Katana boosts mounted on three separate boards (and also a free-standing MXR Microamp for use with my archtops), I just ordered an RC from MF to use with my CG Anni.
It should be here by the weekend.

The RC turned out to be the best OD pedal I ever owned which is kind of funny as it's supposed to be "Really Clean". My favorite clean boost was the non-drive side of the Box of Rock. I've finally sold off all my pedals, but if I were to have just one again, it would probably be the RC. Enjoy.

Ok guys, I received the RC from MF late yesterday afternoon and just spent about an hour with it through my CG Anni and 1x12 Mesa open back cabinet.
Good pedal, versatile, quiet and I think it will work just fine with my other Zs. All of the knobs have a lot of range so you can pretty much dial in what you want.
I'll play it this next week at a rehearsal on Tuesday and a job on Friday.

I use mine as a buffer at the end of the chain to maintain my signal integrity. I also use it in place of an attenuator for my Dote.

I also like to sing and dance like a little butterfly... well not really but I felt like I needed to finish my last post with some sort of closing.

Gotta say that the RC Booster has been one pedal that is a mainstay on my board. I was experimenting with various drive pedals and wound up using one in place of the RC on one gig. Bad move. Stuck it right back on the board after that.
I use it with the gain around 9:00 and the volume just a tad above unity. Bass and Treble are at noon on my Stang Ray and I usually back the treble off a bit when using my Fender amps. RC boosting a Greer Lightspeed is a must have for the stuff I'm doing. Gonna try out the Greer Southland next.

Anyone see this? A limited signature version of the RC...added another gain stage to it. Not stackable though.

Great idea, and knowing Xotic, I bet it sounds great, but for gigging, those buttons are too close together for my clumsy feet.
