Wow man, brand new Z arrives and it doesn't work! :-( I would email or call MZ for a diagnosis, hopefully it's a simple fix. The reward will be when you fire it up, a Maz Jr 2x12 is definitely a sweet amp!

One other thing, After replacing the rectifier and getting the LED on and the tubes glowing, the rectifier itself is still not glowing. SHould the rectifier be glowing like the other tubes? (Sorry, my lack of knowledge is showing here).

Does it keep blowing those fuses? If so it's likely a tube (my Rivera did that). Sorry to hear about it. Is it brand new!

It not brand spanking new, but its mint! It quit blowing fuses when I put the new rectifier in, and lit up, but still has no sound. The rectifier is not glowing, but I'm not sure if that's abnormal. Patience.........

did you check all the preamp tubes to make sure they were seated correctly and still intact?

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone...
Goodwillsteve: I checked all the preamp tubes. I didn't have enough spares to switch them all out, but I swapped around as many as I could and nothing improved. I'm starting to think something came loose on the circuit board.
I really hope its not the OT.

Well, Crisis averted for now. The "new" rectifier about at everyone's favorite giant retail music store was totally crap. Bought yet another 5AR4 today and fired the amp up and it sounds awesome. Thanks for all the help...
