Hi guys, I am the guy from Canada who got his Second stingray from Alpha music. It technically is my first and I have my second on order. I am really sorry hdahs143. I did not mean to steal the amp away from you and can assure you I will be gigging it. I had to have two since I've been thinking about running two amps in stereo and I couldn't think of a better amp to have two of. So I sold my 64 twin reverb and bought the Stingray at Alpha music.
Now having had the amp for about a week and having gigged it this past weekend, all I can I say is that this is the amp I have been dreaming of for a very long time. I have gone through so many amps trying to find 'the tone' and I still probably would not have considered the Stingray if it was not for clips on the website. It really struck a chord with me, no pun intended. I never considered a Voxish amp until I played the RXES and now having the Stingray I am in tone heaven. I can only imagine how two of them will sound in stereo. ;D
Whether it is two stingrays or the stingray and a manta-ray it does not matter. It is only a name. The doctor has created one of the most musical, sensitive, dynamic amplifiers I have ever had the pleasure of playing. Thanks Doc for helping me achieve what no other amp maker has, total and utter satisfaction.
I hope you bring back the SRZ-65. I would get one the moment I finish paying off the second stingray. Maybe a ghia or a mazjr/sr? as well. Z-gas for life!
Here are some pics of the Stingray.
