I recently got a used maz 18 reverb with two tens on ebay. There are two inputs and neither are marked low or high. anyone know which input may be hotter? Would it be the first, like a fender? This amp blows my mind. I have been using a custom vibrolux reverb with weber speakers. The Z is infinitly more versatile. I think I will be happy with this amp for a long long time.

Just crank the volume and plug into one and then the other. You'll find out real quick ;D

the inside one is the low to be used when running effects that boost the signal, dirtboxes, fuzzboxes, boosters etc. the outside one is the hot one that you plug straight guitar into.

Redheadmaz18 and Guitargeorge, you guys seem to be suggesting different ideas?

My first post on this awesome forum. Thanks to those who put it together!!
I run all of my fx into the HI input, because I love the way the amp responds when you bludgeon the front end with a hot signal. I use a Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive as a clean boost running into the junior and it just explodes with dynamics. Thick compression when pushed hard, and Hendrix/Trower tones that the amp isn't typically noted for appear magically.
I've also run my A/B pedal into both inputs in an attempt to get a "lead boost" by activating the HI input for leads, solos, etc. It's subtle, but try it... you might like it.

The control knobs/inputs are oriented exactly backwards between the MAZ heads and combos on both Sr's and Jr's. Essentially the amp chassis is turned upside down, without repositioning the controls.

Mine aren't marked either, and I'd swear neither input is hotter than the other. Anyone else had one like that?

The one the right to me would be the outside..and therefore as guitargeorge says..the hot. The one on the inside(left) closest to the knobs is the low. I think we are saying the same thing...right?
