I don't know if there's anyone here that digs Country/Swing...if so you're in for a treat. More electrified western swing/jazz from this awesome unknown guitarist and band, recorded live in the early 60's at the 23 club in Brisbane CA. Steel player is Vance Terry. Jimmy was a phenomenal guitarist...he's playing a double neck 6/12 string and also blowing trumpet on this rare gem...kudos to the only cat (claude cat) to upload this to youtube...17 tunes in the playlist Jimmy Rivers - Brisbane Bop

I'm all about that. Good stuff. Thanks for sharing! You can tell this cat was heavily influenced by Jimmy Bryant. There were some really great country players in the day. The incredible Hank Garland for one who played on countless recording and with many of the Opry stars, did all the studio work with Patsy Cline and was a phenomenal jazz player to boot. If you haven't heard The Nashville Allstars "After The Riot In Newport", it's an incredibly great album. I never dreamed that Boots & Floyd were such accomplished jazz players. Guitar: Chet Atkins, Hank Garland Saxophone: Boots Randolph Violin: Brenton Banks Piano: Floyd Cramer Bass: Bob Moore Drums: Buddy Harman Vibes: Gary Burton Relaxin' - 0:00 Nashville to Newport - 11:11 Opus de Funk - 14:29 'S Wonderful - 20:43 'Round Midnight - 25:28 Frankie and Johnny - 30:00 Riot-Chorus - 33:37 After The Riot At Newport
and I just discovered this gem...Hank Garland W/ Buddy Harmon drums, Chuck Sanders upright...recorded live @ the Carousel Club in Nashville 1959 Hank Garland Trio
