"Any Z-Amp purchased or ordered in person or by phone will recieve a 10% discount compliments of the Doctor on saturday only, ( I hope that doesn't come off as too much spam ), but a deal is a deal." DR.Z This would be a pure form of Mfg Discounting and nothing wrong with that. In a case like this, usually the dealer gets full pop for the product, and that protects dealer network pricng and integrity. How companies work this, is most often with rebates direct from Mfg.. Again, this way the incentive is straight from Mfg., and the dealership is unaffected. In advertsing we refer to this type of discounting as " Special Events Promotionals", which in this case is exactly what Z had going. And again, to protect the dealership from both a discounter reputation and low gross fall-out, the manufacturer eats the deal/ discount. Just so everyone's straight on how these things happen, and no criticisms are out there towards anyone!

I plan a couple more Z-days in 2006 , look for one at Fat Sound , Willcutts , and maybe Truetone. DR.Z

Yep, Im from Byron bay........great part of the World here!!! With regards to your question about the Stingray..........I'm just waiting to they get released and I'll buy one of them suckers ;-P I love that whole class a quad of 84' chime and I think this just might be his best one yet. Hey Groover, my sister lives in Ballina! Works at the Byron ABC shop! Certainly is a nice spot! good luck with the Stingray order! Sorry Groovergeorge, a little slow but I did figure that out! Nice to see other Z's in Oz. My sister works in Byron, lives in Ballina but I've never been there. Been all over the States and never been nth of Sydney!!! My mother told me a long time ago if I went to Byron I would never come back! Good luck with the order! Stingray is an appropriate amp for a Nth coaster!

Sent Brad the final proto-type of the Stingray for his blessing on Thursday. He got it and was very excited by it's sound, so I believe it's done and time to take it out of the oven. Brad did some recording with it but I haven't heard the demo's yet. Look for them soon. DR.Z

how would you describe the sound difference between the rxes and the stringray? The RX ES does a great job of mixing VOX and Marshall tones together. Very percusive , medium gain, all mixed into a nice Z-Toned amp. The Strinray is an early 1960 4 input VOX AC-30 , think the opening cord " Hard Days Night " , Clean ,clear, brilliant with a nice piano like depth. DR.Z
