I currently have an Interstate version of the Route and a KT-45.
I rarely use the KT and recently had tube trouble with my #1 the Route. So I am seeking a 2nd.
I am worried about trying the New Logo Routes as the sound might be significantly different. Is this the case or would a newer Route be a suitable backup?

I wouldn't worry too much about the newer versus older thing. But if you are, Interstate heads seem to come up up from time to time in the BST section. Whatever slight difference in tone exists may be something you will like and you could bring two heads to every gig:)

There's one on Ebay for $1,150 OBO. Black tolex appears in good condition.

Howdy,
Good luck edoetsch. While my gigging days are virtually a thing of the past, the brawny Route 66 is sure an intriguing amp in the eyes of this Keith Richards disciple! Oh, to have the opportunity to tune my Gibson Les Paul Special (loaded w/ Duncan Vintage Soap bars)to open G and have a go at "Brown Sugar"! There; I feel better now. LOL.

Speaking of interstate 66's...
Does anyone here have my old one? #32 with a wood front.
I sold it years ago to a forum member, but I don't remember who.
