^^^^^^^ nothing strange about those settings exactly how I have mine set. I try and keep master as high as possible and volume around 11 for just on edge of break up with guitar on about 8 and always low input wether buckers or single coils.

Yes, I think I was looking to duplicate the Vox tone coming from an AC15, but the more I play the Maz, the more I appreciate it for It's own tones, bright, warm, & dynamic. I play only single coils between my tele and Les Paul R-6 w/ P-90's & they both sound awesome through the Maz. After going through ALL of the suggestions on the tone chart, I've kind of setteled (With the Telecaster anyway), with Vol. around 9, Treble @10, Mids @ 1, Bass @1-2, Cut@ 10-11 & Master @ 11 (or to taste depending on how much "hair" I need. This gives me a basic warm & clean tone & use guitar vol control or kick on a King of Tone for O.D. & boost when needed. I also seem to prefer High input with single coils & just roll guitar volume to clean up. I may try some "extreme" settings when I have time, but this gives me some great tones at my disposal for playing live. Oh, and the Alnico Cream? It's perfect. Lot's of head room & a smooth breakup when cranking it up. I almost hate to admit it, but TONE SEARCH OVEr?

I can't add much more to what's already been said but the Maz Jr has been my do it all amp for about 6 years now! Love it!

Just wanted to revisit the settings I posted earlier...
For AC30ish tones...
MV 12:00 and up Cut 2:00-3:00 Bass OFF Middle 2:00-3:00 Treble OFF-8:00 Volume 11:00-2:00
This is my best approximation with a Tele, 2x12 Alnico speakers wired in series at 16 ohms, and LOUD!!
Oh, by the way, I think it beats AC30s all day long. : )
