Thanks guys. I have a Gold in the 18 and a Blue in the 8. We play a lot of small bars, so I will sometimes use the 8 clean and the 18 dirty or the 18 clean and the 8 dirty. Really happy with this current set-up!!

Our bass player constantly gets compliments on his sound...great little bass amp and very easy to carry.

Looks great Mike. Be glad of some advice as the spec on your Maz Studio 18 is very appealing to me. How does it compare with a normal sized Maz 18 combo cab? Does it project as much and does the cabinet size do justice to the Celestion Gold's extra capacity for bass response or is it boxy? Appreciate your opinion. From the U.K it would be a special order and probably expensive. Also do you know if the normal sized Maz 8 combo cab has more projection than the studio cab? I have 2 Maz Studio 8's with different speakers which for me are just fantastic bar room amps so the extra headroom is only a theoretical requirement but you know how it is when the GAS overwhelems you......cheers.

Very cool rig! For a brief time, I had the Jr. NR and Maz 8 heads. I had thought about this set up, but didn't have enough cabs or switchers to try it.

Got both cab's benluke....fwiw...yes reg cab has a more fullness,lowend...studio cab has an immediacy to it...but it has less complete (full) spectrum to it.
Reg cab is definitely worth having (imho)

Thanks!! I find the Studio cab with the gold has very good projection. Just did a gig Friday night and I was very happy with the sounds coming out of both amps. You are probably ok with your current set-up, but another Z is always a good thing!! Cheers, Mike

Man, with the 8 set to dirty smooth overdrive in triode mode and the 18 just barely breaking up, those two must make for a fantastic blend! Congrats on a sweet setup there!

Nice setup Mike! I bet they sound fantastic together! Hey Mark! Thanks...yes, loving my new rig. Two gigs this weekend, so they will be getting a workout! Hope all is well in N.B.!! Do they still sell Alpine Light out in those parts? If so, have one for me this weekend! Take care, Mike
