I have a chance to get a Z Wreck Head and 2X12 Cab by trading my Fender American Deluxe Telecaster and my Amp a Tone King Imperial. I do have another guitar a Phantom Guitar Works Teardrop (BJ). Should I do this trade it would be my first DR Z Amp is that a good way to start with DZ Amps?

You'd basically be starting at the top of the line….at least in my opinion. The Wreck is a LOUD amp, so know that goin in. If you play in mostly smaller places, you might need a BrakeLite with it if you want to crank it up. The speaker selection will have something to do with that as well.
Let us know the outcome….and welcome to the forum by the way!

Z Wreck can do a lot, but as Lou said, it's really loud. The volume knob is the gain control, so if you like your base tone to have some grit/hair/dirt the knob will be up around noon or higher. It rattles stuff in my room at that level.
Standard Dr Z speakers are either a Gold and Blue in series, in the head/cab setup, or a Gold, in the combo. Other speakers work fine, these are Doc's choices.
Ideally, you should play the amp and cab. It might or might not be right for you, your playing and musical style. Have you listened to the various demos on YouTube?
