Hey all, The Mojo Mojo pedal by TC has a great price everywhere right now. Makes me think TC is going to be releasing something new so Musician's Friend, GC, ProAudio, etc are moving them out at $50 a pop. It's not a pedal that will change your life, but it's very good. Well built, with a lot of useable tones. I have one and I'd say it falls somewhere between Xotic's RC and AC pedals in terms of gain, although it can be set to match the sound of an RC or Timmy when used as a clean boost (gain all the way down). If you're looking for a new pedal at a used price, nab one. MFriend LinkEddie

Thanks for the heads up, Eddie. Available in the UK too @ £36, too good a deal to miss. Just placed my order. (Edit: Check out the link to a Paul Gilbert demo of the MojoMojo on the MF website! )

Eddie, I've got one too and found it useful for the times I want some unity gain breakup for chords. When playing at lower volumes the fullness is very amp like.

I asked my wife for one for a budget friendly Father's Day present.
Because the thing I need most in life is another medium gain overdrive pedal.... Lol.
Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks, Eddie...just what I needed, another OD pedal, I've officially lost count and don't care anymore...Order placed!
It'll go well on my mini pedal board in between my EP and my Euphoria.

Arrived today. Nice little box. Seems to be well made. Plugged into MAZ lo input with Tele and got a good range of tones by moving the knobs around. Does not seem to clean up a lot, though, when working the guitar volume.
Definitely worth $50, but it probably wouldn't be your first choice in a head-to-head against some of the other pedals mentioned a lot around these parts. Good value for the $ if you're on a tight budget and/or don't have a low to medium gain dirt box. Also would serve as a backup or spare in your gig bag.

I cranked the MAZ master up a bit today. With the pedal's gain up around 2:30 (o'clock) I was getting some nice sounds using the Tele. Again, hard to get back to clean, but you can shade the level of overdrive by riding guitar volume and tone. I think I'm going to pair this one up with my MAZ 8 next.

I am able to clean mine up maybe a little better than what you're hearing? You're right though, it's doesn't have the response that some higher end pedals have. Then again, I have somewhat low-output pickups in the neck and middle of my Strat - or at least I keep them far away from the strings sometimes. Also, I am using the TC more in a stacking fashion with the Mojo going into a FD2 and then a Timmy. All are set with very low gain and I add a pedal at a time to go from a super light drive to medium to fairly heavy crunch. I agree with you about the build quality. Very sturdy. I also find really easy to dial in - a broad range of sweet spots, imo. Heck, a BOSS SD-1 is like $49! And to my ears, they have to be set just so for a good sound, or be heavily modded. Good tone on the cheap. Power to the players! :-) Eddie

^^^
Most likely the higher gain setting was reducing how much cleaner I could get it with just guitar volume. As you note, lots of sweet spots. I also liked lower gain, level/volume up pretty high and treble cranked up to about 3 o'clock. Nice push to the MAZ even in the lo input.

This pedal is working great with my Tele and MAZ 8. Gain low, Volume up, Bass at noon, Treble cranked. but not wide open. It does clean up better with guitar volume and pick attack with the lower gain dialed in.
Thanks again, Eddie, for turning us on to this bargain.
