Brow beating instructor. Bad drum syncing too. An insult to music educators.

Brow beating instructor. Bad drum syncing too. An insult to music educators. wait... are we talking about "Mr. Holland's Opus" or "Whiplash"?

Brow beating instructor. Bad drum syncing too. An insult to music educators. "the sound of music" it is not.its also an insult to a lot of things. and,it is not meant to be a superficial moralistic reality play. at least in my corner of the universe...cheers!

hmmm.... well i don't know... No matter how hard they tried to sell the premise, i'm not buying the philosophy of the instructor. The film seemed like one more implausible, un-realistic, overly romanticized look at what musicians do. It's not magic or strength of will or desire... it's well studied and learned craftsmanship. all that flop sweat filled over-exertion was annoying... did you notice in the final performance scene that the cymbals were sweating?? WTF?? I kept expecting Graham Chapman dressed as a British army officer stopping the scene for being too silly.
