Im curious to know if the Jaz 20/40 head came with piping? Ive seen different pictures of some with and with out piping. There's one here on the BST that has no piping, and the one I just bought does have it. So does the original build have piping or not?

I have a head cab that I bought from the factory that I used to convert my combo and it does not have piping. They told me it was interchangeable between the JAZ and the EZG. I'm not sure of this but from what I've observed the JAZ originally had piping, but when the EZG came out and they began using the same head cab for both and the piping was dropped. What is the mfg. date and serial # of you amp?

Im not sure what the manufacture date is as its not written on the outside of the cabinet, so it may have a date inside the chassis, but the serial number is #U29084, which according to the chart it would be dated in 2010. it is the oval front like the older EZG's

Pardon what might be a stupid response, but the early JAZ's had an oval cut-out tolex valence, whereas later ones (and the new EZG's still do) have the "standard" Dr. Z tan or salt & pepper cloth valence. Is this what we're talking about?
I google'd pictures of the EZG (same head cab) and all the older ones with the oval front did NOT have piping. Does that answer your question?

Does that answer your question? here's a picture of my Jaz. It does have piping although its not stapled in, it can be pulled out. Im wondering if the previous owner just put it in there to have it?

Mine is the one on the BST now. I am the original owner and it doesn't have the piping. It's serial number is F29024. Don't know if that helps you out or not, lol.

Bloozeman - your's doesn't look like something Doc would have done. I'm guessing former owner did it themselves.
