I'm a tele player and have had my Maz for a year now. I like the Maz so much i decided to buy it a strat so we could see what all the fuss is about. People... if you own a Maz 18 and don't have a strat, do yourselves a favor, get that amp a strat! It's one of the most glorious things you'll ever get to hear.

Yesss!...It is sooo much a great pairing...it leaves me wanting nothing (we know how that works)...tele's do sound just as nice.
But with the strat's I have,no pedals...no nothing...tone to the bone.

I can't think of a more perfect fit among guitars & Z-amps than a strat & MAZ. Really, really nice...

I've read cyber legend that the MaZ was tuned to a '57 strat. Not sure if it's true or not, but i'd sure be willing to believe it! They just sound so dang good together. It's pretty fun to go back to playing strat after 5 years on the tele. My inner Jimi is stoked!

Definitely seems to be geared towards single-coils.

Single coils rock with the Maz. I have 11 different guitars all hand built by me except for my 65 strat. Most of them have humbuckers, except for the strat of course, and my favorite is one I built with Kinman Nasty 90's (Noiseless P90's). I cant put this guitar down. Very versatile. You want clean? Pure heaven. You want dirt? Flip to the bridge and you have rock and roll bliss.

Yep, as much as I hate to admit it, my Strat sounds best with the MAZ! I have a serious love/hate relationship with my Strat. I hate the way it plays but the tone from it is great and the MAZ makes it even more so. The Tele is great too but there's something about the sound with a Strat.

Of course, Strats also sound pretty good with the EZG.
