New member here! I have a 2004 Maz NR Head. Just bought it used. As I was checking it out I noticed on the bottom of the head that 2 of the chassis screws are not flush with the head cab bottom. The metal corners are butted up against these 2 screws preventing them from being screwed all the way in. It looks the the screw holes were drilled too close to the metal corners. Anyone ever experienced this? Fixes? Thanks in advance for any help

Never seen anything like that, It's possible the bolts or corners have been replaced. Another possibility is, the bolt holes are larger than the bolts. Try loosening all of them a little and see if you can drift the chassis toward the other side where they do not overlap and then see if when you tighten things down it works.

Two of the chassis bolts on the Maz Jr. get real close to the metal corners, at least both of mine are that way. Which two depends on whether you have a cab or a combo. A couple of mine are virtually touching, but I don't think they quite rise to keeping the chassis bolts from going all the way in.

Wow you guys rule, I wasn't expecting such a fast reply. I loosened all the screws and tried to move the chassis a bit to get the screw/washer off on top off the corner. No luck. All of the corners screws and washers look uniform so I don't think they were ever replaced. I don't seem to hear any sound issues but it is a little unsettling to know the chassis isn't screwed all the way flush with the head cab.

You might be able to take a drill and hog out tha holes in the cab a little, depending on which way you need to go. Of course the front of the amp will have you snookered in one direction, and you don't want to leave a visible gap going the other way.

Thanks for all the advice. I've decided that if it's not messing with the sound, I'm just going to leave it alone

I had some trouble getting my chassis screws back in once. A tiny bit of bike grease on the threads changed everything.
