Hey Doc, did Joe have any input in the making of this amp? Just wondering since he has - to the best of my knowledge - had input on the Super Z, Mazerati and Galaxy, not to mention the custom-built EZG you made for him. kc No Ken he didn't directly, his love of Deluxe Reverbs was in the sauce that helped finalize the sound of the Z-Lux. But he did request a new EL 34 amp the last time we spoke.
I had some idea's based on the Selmer Zodiac 30 , a wonderful sounding early English amp, featured on early Pink Floyd, House of the rising sun by the Animals, and rumor has it the Beatles used one on some early recordings, don't tell VOX though. I have a working proto type that sounds very nice, I hope I get Joe to shop to try it on his visit to the R&R HOF. I increased the Gain ( note to : Keith A ) , and installed a PPIMV , rotary tone control , a pretty unique sounding Z amp.

It sure is beautiful Doc. I also like how you kept the look of the Jaz front panel.
Any news on the new speaker? Will it be available on it's own anytime soon? thanks - tom

Got the green light -- second time, because I wanted to be sure -- from my great wife. This time I mentioned the new one is about 20 lbs lighter than the old one (JAZ). She thought that sounded like a good plan, although she added "Because you're getting older" I kinda, may have said something about "replacing".... Plan to call Humbucker on Monday.

So this isn't based on the Maz chassis - or if it is, then that's a new cab?

Black combo with Z Wreck cloth. I "blame" Doc for coming up with a new speaker and cab. Was hoping to get the head. It will be fun to a/b this with the JAZ.

Just thought to share this shot of the Z-LUX Joe Walsh will be playing at the 2015 Rock Hall Induction Ceremony. This thing sounds amazing! Can't wait until we release it in a couple of weeks! That silver Z looks really cool. Was that a special request from Joe? Gives it that shark skin look. I like it.
