I'm adding to the family. I should have my second King Bee strat in hand on Monday. So my current King Bee will have a sibling. I've always wanted a Surf Green strat or tele type guitar. Well I picked me up surf green King Bee strat. Got a killer deal too, $800. My 2 King Bee strats are slightly different. My current one is vintage sunburst with a maple fretboard and vintage style tuners. The one that's coming on Monday is surf green with a rosewood fretboard and Sperzel locking tuners. They both have Lollars, so I'm thinking about swapping out the pups in one of them for maybe Porter S90's. To give one of them a little bit different tone. However I may leave them both with the Lollars, I'm not sure yet. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the arrival!!

Congrats Johnathan, enjoy the new addition. I've heard King Bee guitars are excellent. I notice you have a Hanson Cigno. I have one also & really like it.

Congrats Johnathan, enjoy the new addition. I've heard King Bee guitars are excellent. I notice you have a Hanson Cigno. I have one also & really like it. The King Bee I have right now is excellent. The relicing on it isn't really overdone. It just looks like a guitar that has been "loved" for about 15 or 20 years. It has your checking, dings, dents and chips in the paint. So many times the relicing can look like the guitar has been through the meat grinder and back. Yeah, I have a Cigno. I have the one with the stop tail piece. Love the neck on it. Even though my hands are on the "smallish" side, I still love the big necks. Don't know why, but they are just more comfortable to me. At some point I'm thinking of swapping out the pickups on mine though. When I play with much drive at all, anything but the bridge seems a little muddy to me. Love them with the cleans though, so I'm not sure. Overall though, really good guitar.

I wish it was Mark. It was supposed to be, but the UPS driver decided not to deliver it without a signature even though the seller wasn't requiring one. So, I didn't get it today. I'm having it redirected to a UPS Store and I'll most likely be picking it up on my way home from work tomorrow. Hopefully it will be King Bee Tuesday! Probably won't get to try it out much until Thursday though, because my Tuesday and Wednesday evenings are packed. Looking forward to it though, just a little delay.

She arrived safely home today. I'll take a couple pics tomorrow evening. Won't really have much time to test her out until Thursday evening, but she is a beauty.

Here she is. I won't be able to really sit down and have a nice get to know ya session for another day or so, but she looks good. The neck is thinner than my other strat but feels good. 20150325_222004 by uofl4life05, on Flickr 20150325_222030 by uofl4life05, on Flickr
