I remember reading Phil post that this amp will do, or get real close to old EVH tone. I thought he was nuts. Sorry Phil! Background: I just got a new delay and for whatever reason I started busting out old VH riffs. I was using a Fulltone Secret Freq boosted with a Bearfoot HoneyBee, amp master around 2:00, volume around 9:30. I had the new Strymon Delay set up nicey nice, the WetReveb set up to compliment both placed in the effects loop. It was awesome. But then I got thinking about the post that the Therapy would do that tone on its own. Well, it does. Really close anyway. With just a Strymon El Capistan Delay and Wet Reverb in the loop, nothing in front but a Les Paul, it nails that tone. Set it up ike this: For the most part I've been running my amp cleaner and using pedals for dirt. Mostly because I couldn't get reverb or delay to sound decent using the amps gain. Now that I have the loop installed... Its game on! This amp rips. I tried to record some with my phone but it's just to loud. I'm going to bust out the mic and my Tascam recording studio and try to capture this for proof lol. Give it a whirl. Warn the neighbors!

I tried it,but not working for me-but I have extremely bright single coils. Steve Jones settings for anyone who wants 'em-Master 11:30,bass 11:00,mids 11:00,Treble 2:30,Volume-dimed.Works great with single coils, probably even better with a Gibson...Full barre chords required,no power chords allowed...EMI,on the count of 1,2,3

NO DOUBT Nicholas , I agree the Therapy Just Floored me when I got to use my main PedalBoard my 2 Fav OD's BB Xotic and My Fancy Lad Klon Clone it just OOOOZES Big Rock Tone Almost Like a 6L6 Diaz or Soldano, I found running too much Gain from the amp causes it to be to Fizzy and the notes were ...... well kind of smashed together not near as Defined or Articulate and every note and string can be heard and still is fully saturated and Warm!!!! I'm really Digging this bad boy, May just sell another one of My Non Z Amps Probably won't need since obtaining the Therapy. Did I mention how Sweet and Transparent the Delay is right in the front end of the amp, thinking of adding a REVERB Pedal? Any suggestions?

nichlos I know you're gonna think I'm crazy but I have been using a Line 6 Echo park for about 3 years now, I also have had many of delays, the echo park is easy to tap and for me the best feature, The Mix Control, I can adjust it on the fly when used with other amps without having to change my main delay tone settings, like when using with my practice amp which has an FX Loop, it can be dialed right down and sound good in the front and not thru the Loop. I have been wanting a Wampler Delay I think its Orange? Faux Delay? I have used delays with tons of features but never seem to use but 1 or 2:(( The new TC TRiple shot is TEMPTING!
