The filter caps still need to be replaced but she's on her way to being "race" ready in a few weeks. Taking time and doing it right, a little at a time. For now the death cap and two prong cable have been replaced with a grounded power cord and the weird Oaktron AlNiCo 12 has been replaced with a Greenback. This is just some noodling I did this morning with my ASAT Classic to make sure the power and speaker install went according to plan. Listen for yourself. Link

I don't mean to sound like yer Mom here, Chris, but be sure your tech knows to try his best leave the blue poly caps and only replace electrolytics. Also leave every carbon comp resistor unless absolutely necessary.....
It makes me sick when I see a great amp like yours that fell into the hands of some overzealous solder jockey who transformed the blue and brown parts into sea of orange drops and tan resistors....
