As far as? Loudness? Yes, it is loud Finances? I can understand
I had a Z28 for sale and happened to see this Antidote for sale and just posted the question to the seller for some type of trade, his first reply was no for he needed the cash. I understood as I was trying to sell my amp as well, I also needed the money. A couple of days later we reached an agreement and and we traded. The Antidote is a Big boys pants amp for sure. Something about them big bottle tubes

It has it's Own Tone. For clean, lower volume stuff you can attenuate it and run it through a 1x12. It is very touch sensitive and dynamic. It is worth it to discover all it's complexities and be willing to invest the time in it. It can also be a real bear some times but once you tame it you are rewarded. Use your guitar's volume and tone...

I'm thinkin' the Antidote might even be "louder" (notice it's in quotes) than the Delta 88..? Dang, I shoulda compared these when I got to borrow Steve's for a couple days. Man, the Antidote is nice--and it's LOUD, for sure.
Own or have owned: M12, Carmen Ghia, Rx JS, MAZ 18 Jr NR, Monza, Z-28, Route 66, Therapy, DB4, Remedy, Prescription, EZG-50, SRZ-65 LE, & Delta 88 Z-Drive | Brake Lite SA & Air Brake
This is one of my favorite Zs - doesn't get the love it should!
The more time I spend with mine, the more I like it. Of course, I liked it when I got it, but between the need for Big Boy Pants and my other Zs, I sort of relegated the 'dote to "for fun at home when I'm in the mood for loud." Now I'm strongly considering gigging with it. It will be Air Braked, but the tone is so great.
Gear piled high. Talent? Must be hidden in there somewhere.
GuitarZ: They say you should be on the same page about kids before you get married. I really think you ought to talk about expectations on outdoor Christmas/Holiday lights. That could have been a game changer.

GuitarZ: Arggh! We had it on the calendar to stop out and see you but got caught up with holiday stuff. I could have met you & Frank & my wife could have connected with her friend from back in grade school. You snooze you lose. The FB videos sound great!

GuitarZ: Why is it once you finally clean the junk off your work bench, within 5 minutes, you find yourself ready to deposit some other junk right back on to that now clean space?

rossco: the variable e.q bypass is great because while bypassed it you get the raw sound of the amp without the e.q and everything else attenuating the signal which sounds great and a because its variable on the foot switch you can dial in to taste, 1/2 way I like

rossco: you don't have to fully bypass the tone stack which is great because gives you room to dial in your sound, it certainly thickens up the sound and adds nice growl/midrange growl. I don't like pedals so this replaces everything for me

easyed: It seems that the only time I clean off my workbench is when I need the space for something else. If I don't take a break, it's less than 5 minutes before that space is full again.
