Standard Memphis 335, 2008, about $1000 below current street. Medium neck, '57 classics, EX+ condition, pro setup. Man, do I love a good used guitar--always best to let someone else take the depreciation if possible.

Yeah--good price on this guy. Might have to sell a few things to cover it. Nash Tele? Hmmm...

Never had a 335 before--always liked the look and tone of them.

Nice! I grew up on a '65 ES330 (that I still play on occasion), and a '90 335Studio was my main guitar for 20 years. I now play a 2010 CS336. I'm a big believer in thinline Gibsons.
Enjoy!

Nice. Cherry is the classic colour. I ended up with a vintage sunburst fatneck as it happened to be a better player than the same model in vintage cherry on the day. Every one needs a 335 in their arsenal.

Every one needs a 335 in their arsenal. I have tried to explain this to my wife--yes, I have lots of other guitars, but honey--I need a 335! Yeah--I like the cherry a lot, but the bursts look great, too. My buddy has a '58 burst that unfortunately went through a flood in North Dakota some years back and had to be completely restored/refinished, so its value is much diminished. The parts are still all original though--the pickups alone are probably worth more than my 2008 model. It'll be interesting to see how they compare, tone-wise.

SWEET!! I used a 335 as a main stage guitar for many years. I found it to be right at home in virtually any music genre. Nice find Jon.

I just picked up a used 335 a few month ago. I think your gonna love yours. Mine plays and sounds excellent. Like you said, can't beat a great used guitar. Mine is a '14 vintage sunburst. The cherry is equally nice. I'm glad I didn't have to decide. I'd probably thought about it until both ended up sold!
The neck pup tone is incredible.

I'm more than a little jealous, Jon. A gorgeous, classic red 335 "dot" in spectacular condition that somebody else took the initial depreciation on? I don't think it gets any better than that!
I will have one some day (sooner than later, I hope). Ain't no rock 'n' roll that can't be had with a 335, as gentle-looking as it may be...

Thanks, guys. I'm pretty excited! I've been gravitating a bit more toward humbuckers these days--though of course there's nothing quite like a great Tele or Strat--and have been looking at a number of different variations on the humbucker theme lately, including the PRS Standard 22 that got away last weekend. Would love a chambered goldtop, but they're rare and mucho expensivo (someday). But I've also always dug the look and sound of a 335, and have wanted to add one to my little Gibson stable for a few years now. Gonna have to buy another of these, though:
