On a 2x10 combo, if replacing speakers, what ohms should you buy? I know since theres a 4 and 8 ohm jack, you have options with series vs parallel wiring, but whats "best" and/or easiest?

I would go with 8 ohm just because if you ever sell them there is more demand for 8s than 16s. Having said that, there are some folks who think an amp sounds the best when using the maximum tap on a transformer. I personally have never heard a difference. If you are someone with those kind of ears I would go for a pair of 16s.

and it is also easier to add a 1x12 cab to it! Agreed ... huge fan of multi-speaker/mini-stack with Z-28 .... my current rig is Z-28 head into Z 112 cab and Z 210 cab ..... using a Y-cable from the 4 ohm
cheers always,
Joel

Thanks all. Two 8ohm speakers wired in parallel= 4ohms. If I wanted/needed to add a 1x12 cabinet, then what would I need? And how do you do that(plug in to where, using what)?
