I almost got in on that one...from the looks of the inside of the box and the missing chassis screws, it looks like its been apart more times than you can count.

I almost bit. My one concern is the guy may have messed up the transformer when he put on the amp to take that picture. That and there was no standby switch. Was that normal on early ones?

I'd been watching that one too. Amp looks pretty rough. It's not the cosmetic wear on the tolex that drew the 'rough' assessment but the transformer 'crush' in the bottom of the cabinet coupled with the missing screws/back panel.

I actually saw this amp at Guitar Center in Aurora, IL late 2006 or early 2007 and they wanted over a $1,000.00 for it. I plugged it in and it just made a buzzing sound, didn't work, and it was BTS. I told the salesman to give me a call if they would let it go for significantly less. He called when I was out and they sold it for $299.00.

Well, hopefully it will find its way to the Doc for restoration. KT-45 is a great amp...hate to see one get junked...

I fired it up in the store and it sounded like arse.. Hope it doesn't cost too much for the guy to fix it. At the very least it'll need new tubes all the way around..
