Just got this amp yesterday (thanks McGriff420!). Recorded at a lowly 9:00, both master and volume. BB used for the short solo. These Maz's are just incredible amps, can't wait to play this one out. Maz Sr reverb

All right, a new Madison clip! Sounds great as usual. The MAZ's have the best sounding cleans of any Z (IMO). They are so warm and articulate, and they sound fantastic when they're pushed.
Great job.

Thanks, shortyz ...I've come full circle with the Maz. Had a Jr, then Sr, lots of others, then Jr NR, and now settling back into the Senior verb. A good mate to the 'Ray. This time around, it's reminding me of my old Rt 66, but with more high end chime.

I'm afraid! Every time I listen to one of Bill's clips, I go buy stuff. ACK! Lol!...same 'ole cabinet Steve, the Z 1x12 loaded with a 50w Weber blue dog alnico. Had to take the Greenback out for now as I was afraid I might damage it. On the lookout for a 2x12 with two greens though...

Wowza Mad Dog...some of the best pushed clean tones I have EVER heard! VERY nice playing and tasteful phrasing!
I've been saving for a Sr. head now I may just have to save a little faster, thanks to this clip!
By the way the BB sounds amazing with this setup.

Thanks guys!
Hey prs, I agree...the Maz Sr has definitely got a superior tone thing going on...doc's flagship amp line, the Maz's. The BB pre is THE pedal with that amp!

Hey Bill, how did you set the amp up for that clip? That was a super sounding clip with lots of articulate chime going on. Just curious what your settings were.

That was a super sounding clip with lots of articulate chime going on. Just curious what your settings were. Well I used a Tele with Kinman p/u's, drop D tuning, neck p/u, SM 57 close mic'd to a Z cab with a Weber alnico 50w blue dog (the best speaker in the world IMHO). The Maz Sr had the volume low, both master and vol around 9:00, cut at 9:00, everything else was at noon from what I recall. The solo was done the same settings, only with a BB pre amp creating the drive. It really was too short, should have extended it out for a couple minutes, but oh well...a particularly nice sounding Sr, got it from McGriff420...Bilbal now owns it.

Looks like I'll be getting a BB soon. damnit, it never ends around here. bilbal The BB is an excellent, smooth drive pedal. Not to create more GAS, but wait until you guys hear the Stingray through my new Stratocaster. A whole new pallete of cool tones! Clips coming soon...

Bill, I just now read this thread and listened to the 38 clip. You're a baaaaaaaad man. I don't think you're capable of recording a bad clip; I enjoy every one. +1 karma to you. You might have just knocked off Jayson Chance as my "favorite sound clip guy". Great work Bill.
