Well, I am now officially a member of the Dr.Z club. I received my M12 yesterday and I can fully attest that everything that I read on here was right.
The amp has plenty of low end which I had my doubts on.
It does a great job with pedals in front of the amp.
The amp does a phenomenal job at discovering what gear really sounds good and what doesn't. I connected my pedal board and I was totally blown away. It sounded terrible. It was really eye-opening (ear-opening?). I figured out my Tim and TS9 did not sound good with my Les Paul.
The best tones I found were with the guitar plugged straight into the amp. I think this is largely due to the fact that my pedals were not a good fit with the rest of my set-up.
I'm currently using the amp with a 1x12 Celestion Greenback. Everything sounds good for now. I'll keep you all posted.

Congratulations on the M12. And welcome to the forum.
I agree with you about the M12 putting your pedal board in a new light. Same thing happened when I got mine. cheers

I totally agree that Dr Z amps can and will expose any weakness/strength in the signal chain and since I first received my Carmen Ghia have also been surprised to find out how some pedals, especially those with buffers, how they effect/affect the tone.
So many amps are in need of more highs, unlike Dr Z amps, and thusly it seems that many pedal companies ad in a high/treble impact to give the "effect" as though the tone "came alive" or "sparkles"
The M12 is and has been a mighty temptation as all of the reviews have been really good. Hope you love for years to come.
Play you soul and discover yourself thru art !!!

Welcome to the M12 club and the forum!
I run my 12 pretty consistently on the low setting. I think it works better with pedals. Also, I've found that having a really good clean boost set slightly above unity with the amp makes a huge difference in pushing the amps front end into really full throttle tones.
Enjoy it!
