My friend Jimmy Matejek from Montgomery Gentry did a cool backing track and posted on TGP. Was supposed to be a F. King inspired track. So, as it evolved, the Freddie King thing didn't happen for me at all. Ended up taking on more of a personality somewhere between the Reverend Billy G and Carlos. Quite moody and Dorian... Either way, cool backing... Guitar was Peavey HP Signature USA custom DiMarzio Virtual PAF's Effects were Keeley Comp, Xotic BB, Keeley DD3. Also did a funky clean rhythm track with just the Keeley comp. Amp is Dr. Z Route 66 into a custom 1 12" Weber cabinet. 50 watt Ceramic Blue Dog with pre-Rola treatment and HD magnet (50 oz and opposed to 38.) Straight mic'ed with a vintage Shure Unidyne III 5455, pretty much an early SM57. www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=5420441&q=hiJ __

That's really cool. Love it. Great tone. There's a lot of feeling in this clip and your playing is very expressive. Congrats to you friend for the BT. Nice work too. Where is your funky clip? Your link just give me access to the BT clip. Thanks for sharing

Great as usual. Sounds like the Peavey is still workin' for you. A '66 is definitely on my wish list.

Thats really nice stuff there Jayson. thanks for sharing that. I have never been keen on tone sucking compressors but i think I am seriously going to have to bite the bullet and try one.

Nice, Jayson. The backing track conjures up visions of Curtis Mayfield for me.
