Hey all
Got sone $ burning a hole in my pocket and have a dilemma. I'm looking for a new amp 20 watt range clean with hair at band volumes, and twangy. Basically, The traditional Deluxe reverb sound. I already have a JAZ 20/40 and was wondering if it is silly to also get the new JAZ when it comes out. How much different could it be?
My question: Wait and get new JAZ or get a Maz 18 and have a totally different sounding amp on hand. I also currently own a Z28 and Z wreck.
Before the boutique gear craze and the internet, I played a Fender Hot Rod Deville for 20 years and it was fine!

It seems like one JAZ should be enough. You could always sell the old and buy the new version. Otherwise, buy a Ghia.

I'd think adding a MAZ to that line up would be cool. Get a studio combo cab and you'll have your grab 'n' go

I say MAZ. I mean, it's such a great amp in its own right. Might not be considered Doc's "finest amp ever made" but it's practically his signature amp. Plus, I can't imagine a new JAZ being all that different from the celebrated originals...

Then again, it just might be the finest amp Doc ever made. Whatever, I agree with Mark.

I would go with the MAZ. Like others have said it is something you do not have. You can also pick the MAZ up used at a great price.
