Posting this more for the enjoyment of the song than any specific guitar playing to tune into. This was our first performance of Stormy Monday this past weekend. (Our 5 minute version vs. the ABB 11 minute version -- not that there is anything wrong with extended solos :-) ) The house board feed recording came out pretty balanced overall, and I thought it would be fun to post it for my fellow Z-forumites. My portions of the song are the vocals and the first guitar break. (US Masters Vector into a Z-Ghia & 1-12 Greenback.) The organ is the real deal 1960s era Hammond C3 & leslie. All 360 lbs. of it - wonderful tone. Hope you enjoy it. Moses www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=639765

Moses, I like it. I like it alot. I'm listening as I am typing I just got chills when the vocals entered in - and, man, the B3 is sweet. And the guitar? Definitely very cool - love it when the solo comes in @ 3:11 .... nice work ;D Joel

Moses, BB King is probably in my top ten and I love this song and I have to say that was awesome, tasteful, and very well done. Thanks for sharing. You got some pipes and chops. Nothing like a B3. Makes me want to smack somethin. Take care. dl

Great blues tone with the MAZ Jr and silver bell combination. Keep it up.

Awesome!
Both the playing and singing were great. If that's the board feed, you guys musta sounded killer live.
I totally love the C3/Leslie-- worth every pound.

Very Cool Moses,
Great tones all around, love that tune. I love that old C3, smokin. I played with a cat a while back who had one, that ole organ had tone dripping out of it from every where, he couldn't get a bad sound out of it, very inspiring, it made me play better just to try and keep up.

Thanks guys - glad you enjoy the song.!
That Hammond is indeed a beautiful sound. I selfishly set the stage plot so the organ/keys and I are next to each other on the same side of the drums. I love hearing that leslie box kick in next to me. The B3/C3s are fickle beasts though - being 40+ years old. Three songs after this recording, one of the tone generators went out on the C3, so digital keys to the rescue.
Take care,
Moses

I have been working on this song for a bit now and you have that nailed. I am a huge AB fan and your version really does it justice!
