I wish the parties I went to back then had sounded that good. Thanks for posting. Surely has that cassette tape 80s vibe

I recorded so much stuff that sounds so horrid... but we didn't have digital back then. Not even DAT tape until the early '90's. A shame, but it is what it is.

I LOVE the mix on Stages. Really feels good when I close my eyes and just listen to the groove. Killer tone and energy brother !!!! I was settling for the epic tale of your musical life....but alas it was only a teaser. LOVED IT!!!!

Yeah, I'm planning a whole series of posts to finally put some context to this mass of digital mania I have here. For example, I discovered that those two tracks existed in only one place - the CF media in my car! Not that I think anyone past my generation will really give a crap, but at least my kids should get the choice of dumping them or not.

Thanks, Steve, for the little slice of your past. It took me back, too. Great tone and guitar playing ....vocalist totally killed it on "weekend," too! Thanks....very interesting...

cool blog post, Steve. In all the bands I've played in, i was the one guy who held on to the audio/video/photographs. For me, it's always so fun to go back through the archives and find things i'd forgotten about... until about half-way through the guitar solo. Then i cringe.

Oh yeah, I have some hilarious examples of that stuff... Virtually every time I played above my league, the recorder had switched off.

I played "Everybody's Workin' for the Weekend" in my 80s coverband in the early 2000s! That was a fun song to play....Solo was actually fun to play, even though it was only basically two different shapes.
Good stuff man!
