Just wondering how long the original tubes in the wreck last. I've had mine for 3 years and the original tubes still seems OK.

I think it depends on the actual hours used. Including standby. Should get 300? hours? Usually you will hear some muddyness and less clarity.

I think the mother ship said the power tubes that come with the wreck are incredibly rated at something like 2000-2500 hours because of their Russian military specs. Like Bill says, you will hear it when they fade. With tubes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Yeah, I remember reading that they last a lot longer than normal EL84 tubes.

Just wondering how long the original tubes in the wreck last. I've had mine for 3 years and the original tubes still seems OK. JC I had the power tubes and rectifier tube go at UNDER 2 yrs of very light use. Avg about 2 hrs a week. Not complaining though....they ARE tubes! J5
