So to demonstrate my new Virtual PAF's for the good folks at DiMarzio, I did a few test clips today. For these, I set the MAZ 18 to get a little more British by *slightly* turning the cut and mids up . Same basic settings as what I used on the Strat & Tele clips, with just minor variations. Just goes to show that you can go either direction with these amps depending on your axe of choice and your approach.... Both of these are straight into the amp with my Peavey HP Signature Custom. Both set clean (with a little hair). Bridge: www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=4876175&q=hiNeck: www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=4876161&q=hiI'm going to do a few more next week, and pick out the ones I like the best for DiMarzio to put on their site. But these give you the general idea that the MAZ amps do a pretty killer vintage/classic rock clean, too... J

Oh, yeah... Per DWeller... Need to post settings... Guitar volume was rolled back to about 8 on both pickups, tone just slightly at about 9. amp- V- 12:00, T-12:00, M- 1:00, B- 11:00, M- 5:00 (dimed), C- 10:00, R- off The 'verb you hear on these clips is a small chamber from the Cakewalk program. No other effects added.

Interesting contrast with the Strat/Tele samples. Essentially the same amp settings, but the amp "channels" the different pickups, wood and touch. Terrific! Thanks so much for putting these up with settings--great ideas for all of us, I think.

The only thing I don't like about Soundclick is I can't SAVE the files!! These are some of the better Maz18 samples I've heard, and I'd love to keep them on my HDD...
oh well... thanks for the comparisons! Very cool listening!

If you go to my Soundclick page, there's an "Mp3"option. Just click it and save the file. I have all of my clips on there available for anyone who wants to download them. www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=465770J

Truly some great playing Mr Chance, the Les Paulish tones were very inspiring (I wish my humbuckers sounded like that) and I love the Fender tones for the single coils, too cool!
After listening to your clips I had to try them of course, so I spent 2 hours playing with the amp. I tweaked the reverb down a little bit I found it slightly too lush for me.
Thanks for the settings, they are fun to try as always.
