Amp is 1978, cab is 1979 (A8+5 digits='78, A9+5 digits='79). Can't tell from your pic, but I believe they made the 135 cabs in both 2X15 or 4X12 configuration at a 4 ohm load. Cool...but glad you're haulin' it and not me!

I had one of those a few years back 68' had a 2x12 baffle. Which i think was not original but it sounded KILLER!! i used a V30 and an eminence jensen type clone. Huge sound. But sold it off for a sweet Z 1x12. If using the fender head i found that mixing a british/american flavor combo yeilds great tonal bliss, a nice V30 and a 12-65 or maybe a nice weber silver ceramic or possibly a nice jensen flavored reissue would sound amazing

If I remember correctly the late '70's Bassman had a 2X15 cab. Then sometime in the early '80's they changed to a 4x12. That looks like the 2x15 because the later cab was shorter.
I used to have an early '70's Dual Showman Reverb amp (bought it brand new) that had that same cabinet. It was a bear to haul. I wound up cutting it in two and gluing side panels onto the halves, making them 1x15 cabs. Much more manageable. I'm not recommending you do that. This was before the vintage amp/guitar market really got started and we did some silly things back then.
