Hi,i'v been toying with the idea of picking up a mini just for the house,i'v got a maz jnr for gig's but want something quieter for home use.I'll be running through my z 2x10 cab.My question is can you get a good clean tone out of it? All the videos i'v seen show it cranked (which sound's really good BTW) but I'm more interested in a clean/slight breakup tone. Cheers llew.

Yes. The mini at lower volumes sounds nice clean but it's so much fun to crank it that we all end up doing it. Lol

I run mine clean at home all the time. I've got a Boss RC-30 that I play through it for practice, so it needs to be clean.

I think it has a really nice clean tone - and at plenty loud for home volumes. The guitar makes a big difference too: my strat shaped guitar stays clean much longer than my LP shaped object.

Here's a vid I just noticed a couple days ago with a guy playing some clean mini sounds (and it has a cool custom cab to boot!)

I agree...I get just enough clean. If I know I need even more, I swap the preamp tube and it cleans up even more better.

I used my Mini at Jazz band practice the other night and it sounded great at 9:00 on the dial. Very clean, very fat with the 335.
