I have truly enjoyed hearing everyone's clips on this board and finally got some up myself. Some experimentation with a new Yamaha all-in-one recorder that I'm still working to learn. My humble submission - my very first clips on both the Dr. Z forum and the web. With this in mind, it's only fitting that the clips include my soul-mate amplifier (Dr Z. Maz Jr.). www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=639765Hope you enjoy them. Moses

Thanks guys for the kind comments!
This "Z Community" has got to be the most constructive and positive guitarist forum there is -- I'm glad to be a member and also to be supporting with my music clips.
tele62 - Funny you mention Millsap, as other friends have made that vocal comparison too. I don't always catch it unless I'm trying to sing country.
Doc - Thanks for the comments and glad to be doing your great amps justice. Although the Maz Jr. has been getting a rest for the past few weeks as I've been putting the Ghia through its paces following your 30,000 mile tune up.
Will try to get some more clips up soon.
Take care,
Moses

Fantastic clips, man. I loved them all--esp. your version of Stormy Monday. Incredibly soulful stuff. Was that you singing as well?
Question about the Maz Jr. Do you find that it has enough clean headroom for you, and do you use pedals with it?
Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,
Thanks for the comments and yes that is me singing too. Stormy turned out to be a good key for me in terms of range.
The Maz Jr. seems to work very well for me at a number of venues, including outdoors where I can mic the amp. Having said this, I find the amp gets pretty quickly to a edge of breakup level - but then stays there quite nicely as I turn up. For more headroom, I switch to a 2-12.
It also helps to be playing with a drummer who has a great handle on dynamics so there is never a sense of competing for volume.
Hope this helps.
Moses
