Every time I come to this thread I say "I don't need another amp"..... I have a Therapy as my only amp and I'm totaly satisfied with the sound but, every time I look over here I'm wanting a studio combo for extended practice! I have a job at this point in my life that I'm all alone for 8 hours with limited interuptions and my playing would benefit from some extra practrice. It seems the studio combo would be just the ticket for this? Am I just afflicted with the Z disease or should I go ahead and buy one of these?

Do you need an amp in another location for the extra practice? If not, consider getting a custom cab built for the Therapy Head that meets your dream criteria. I've got 2 Z's and certainly feel lucky to have both to choose from ... I seem to use the Monza for practice mostly these days because of the MV, but you've already got that with the Therapy. I think the Maz 8 would be one of the super cool amps to own for sure....if I could....I WOULD !! Have another drink the bartender says.

Hey Dave. I love my Maz 8! It gets used more than the Maz 18. Just the right size for the little gigs I'm doing. Love mine with a Blue.
You should have one! At least by the first of the year. No regrets.

I use mine exclusively for church, but have been using the 8 for small club gigs too. Great amp!

I really love mine Dave , and I'm past the honeymoon stage. The main thing , I think , is not to keep thinking of it as an "8 watter". Like most of Doc's amps, the wattage is basically irrelevant. I have come to think of it as a "right-sized" amp for the jams , gigs and practice I'm likely to encounter , and I can get enough volume to cover the situations while getting the tone and feel I want without a load of complaints. I don't do studio work , but it would be perfect for that IMHO as well. What I'm saying is : If you can afford it , get it!

My Studio Combo 8 keeps me out of trouble in my apartment.I'm not playing with or for anyone (besides the dog) and this thing sings for its size. Plus you can push it a little harder without melting the paint off the walls. If you get one, get it with the blue!

Dave, ya gotta get yourself an 8. Mine hasn't been feeling the love much lately, I've been playing my Therapy and the brand new Monza. But last night I plugged in and... Wow. What great tone.
