Anyone know how I go about replacing a power on light? I can unscrew the cover but the bulb sits back and I can't pull it out. Do I need to pull the whole chassis out? Also what bulb would be a replacement? Thanks!

Pushing on the bulb should give you enough friction to rotate it an eighth turn and release the prongs... It's a flange mount, not threaded.
its a standard 6.5 volt bulb. Radio shack should have them, as well as any hardware or automotive parts store.

A small piece of doubled over scotch tape will give you a little bit of stick also.

Just did this yesterday. Pushing it in and then turning is the trick, Was going to hire a gekko with sticky toe pads, but managed with the tips of my index finger and thumb.

Hi folks,
Was just about to start a thread about this and then found this one!
My power light is dead as well....can someone take me step by step on how to replace the light inside my Maz 18 Jr. combo?? (ie, what am I looking to unscrew to get to the bulb etc etc)
I'm not much of a techie, but this should be simple enough right? The amp works fine, just not lighting up anymore when it's on.
Thanks so much!

On recent Zs the jewel light cover just unscrews. Do you have the chrome cover with the jewel in the center or is it a red square?

I went looking for a 6.5 volt bulb at my local Radioshack, but they only had a 6.3 volt bulb.......could that work in my Maz 18 Jr NR combo? I know nothing about this stuff and just want to replace the bulb with the proper (right) one Thank you!

A #47 lamp is 6.3 volt. We're splitting hairs here. There is practically no difference.

Wow! This was a big help. My light has been out for months and I kept thinking I'd have to take apart the chassis just to change the bulb. Never realized it was so much easier!
